Giant Happy Face Dumpling Squishy

A dumpling plush squishy that's grown into a full-size hug

Forget pocket-sized squishies: this one is a cushion in its own right, standing 28cm tall with round pink cheeks, wide oval eyes and a little cat-like smile that never quite goes away. It's shaped like a steamed bun that's clearly in a very good mood.

The pleated top and soft velvet-style plush give it that fresh-off-the-steamer texture, while the PP cotton filling inside holds the dumpling's round shape without ever feeling stiff. Squeeze its middle and it slowly puffs back up, which is exactly the point: a satisfying, repeatable press-and-release that's oddly calming to do while watching telly or waiting for the kettle to boil.

Prop it on a bed, tuck it under one arm, or let it sit on the sofa as a slightly ridiculous but very huggable mascot. Its stubby brown legs keep it balanced upright, so it's as happy standing guard on a shelf as it is being squashed flat.
